Whether or not you personally agree with smoking is not the issue here.
Some of our Nation's Disabled Veterans residing in Nursing Homes smoke ... and have little else to look forward to during the day other than "smoke breaks".
At this point in time, Veterans on Medicaid receive $50 per month for personal spending. As you probably know, with sky-rocketing cigarette prices, that barely covers ONE CARTON of cigarettes per month, even for some Generic Brands!
Our Nation's Disabled Veterans are the same men and women who risked life and limb to preserve our many Freedoms as well as our safety, individual and as a Country.
The least we can do is buy them a pack of smokes!
If you can, drop off a couple packs or a carton of cigarettes at a local Veterans or Nursing Home. Some of our Nation's Disabled Veterans residing in Nursing Homes smoke ... and have little else to look forward to during the day other than "smoke breaks".
